The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Visit Year Committee announced on the 11th that from the 13th to October 19th, they will hold a travel product exhibition called ‘Fall in Korea Highlights’ targeting foreign tourists.
This exhibition was prepared targeting China’s Mid-Autumn Festival holidays (September 15-17), National Day holidays (October 1-7), and Japan’s Respect for the Aged Day (September 16).
The ‘K-Tourism Cooperation Group,’ a public-private consultative body formed for the Korea Visit Year, composed a selection of ‘50 Korean Travel Highlight Products’ that allow special enjoyment of Korea’s autumn, focusing on collaborative products such as experiences and convenience services discovered through networking among participating companies.
Key collaborative products include ▲combined products of transportation such as Airport Railroad and foreign tourist taxis ‘Hwikko’ with essential domestic travel destinations like N Seoul Tower and Lotte World ▲hands-free products including luggage delivery services cooperated by ‘TripEasy’ and Airport Railroad to enhance convenience for individual tourists ▲experience combination products of makeup styling company ‘Geurigo Alice’ using K-Beauty, which has gained high interest among foreign visitors, and personal profile photography company ‘Sihyeonhada’ ▲discount products for admission tickets and boarding passes through collaboration between COEX Aquarium and E-Land Cruise.
As part of corporate partnership promotions, Doota Mall, Hyundai Department Store Duty Free, and Hyundai Outlet Dongdaemun Branch will collaborate with commercial districts to provide welcome gifts, discount coupons, and souvenirs when visiting stores participating in the Dongdaemun Super Pass event. Visa Korea and Kakao Mobility will also provide K-Ride discount codes to Visa Korea members. GS Retail and Orange Square have installed unmanned currency exchange kiosks inside GS convenience stores and offer currency exchange services for foreign visitors.
Additionally, the Visit Korea Committee plans to promote through global portals and SNS by utilizing social network service (SNS) review content from influencers and foreign experience groups. They will activate collaboration among participating companies of the K-Tourism Cooperation Group to continuously discover new benefits for visiting Korea and excellent tourism content, and expand domestic and international promotional marketing support. Currently, 125 companies and 19 organizations participate in the K-Tourism Cooperation Group.
A Visit Korea Committee official said, "We hope that the travel of foreign tourists visiting Korea will be more convenient and enjoyable through this exhibition with the K-Tourism Cooperation Group," adding, "We will continue to spread various inbound tourism contents discovered through continuous communication and collaboration with participating companies."
