"The Optimal Location to Become the Mecca of Police Training"
The Asan City Council in Chungnam has pledged active support for the bid to attract the Second Central Police Academy.
After Asan City announced on the 9th that it would compete to host the 'Second Central Police Academy,' all council members participated in issuing a resolution on the 11th.
Through the resolution, the Asan City Council emphasized, "Asan is a region where police-related infrastructure such as the Korean National Police University, Police Human Resources Development Institute, and Investigation Training Institute are concentrated. With the establishment of the Second Central Police Academy, Asan offers the optimal location to become the mecca of police education in Korea."
They added, "A police hospital is scheduled to be built in Asan, and the development of a Police Medical Town covering about 2 million square meters is underway. Through this, an optimal residential environment will be created where police academy students and staff can live stably, laying the foundation for mutual growth between the police and the local community."
They further urged, "We call for the Second Central Police Academy to be established in Asan so that the city can become the leading center of Korea's police future and grow into a world-class city specialized in policing."
The council also promised active support for attracting the Second Central Police Academy.
The Asan City Council stressed, "To attract the Second Central Police Academy, we will spare no effort in providing support at the council level, from urban development to the construction of various infrastructure."
