Yoo Ah-hyun Wins KLPGA-Samchully Together Dream Tree Tournament

Yu Ah-hyun (Sogang High School, 2nd year) heralded the birth of a new star.

On the 6th, at the KLPGA-Samchully Together Dream Tree Tournament 2024 High School Division held at Baekje Country Club in Buyeo, Chungnam, Yu finished at the top with 14 under par 202 strokes. Ha Da-in (Incheon Girls' High School Affiliated Broadcasting High School, 3rd year) took 2nd place (10 under par 206 strokes), and Yang Yoon-seo (Incheon Girls' High School Affiliated Broadcasting High School, 1st year) placed 3rd (10 under par 206 strokes). These three players were exempted from the KLPGA associate membership practical test.

In the middle school division, Lee Si-eun (Nohyeong Middle School, 3rd year) tied with Yoo Ji-eun (Wolsan Middle School, 2nd year) at 11 under par 205 strokes, then secured the championship birdie after four rounds of playoffs. Danjella Chanel (Daejeon Foreign School, 3rd year) took 3rd place (9 under par 207 strokes). The top three overall scorers from the middle and high school divisions?Yu Ah-hyun, Lee Si-eun, and Yoo Ji-eun?earned the right to participate as recommended players in KLPGA regular tour or Dream Tour events.

The tournament was jointly hosted by Samchully Group and the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA). It began in 2015 and marked its 10th anniversary this year. A total of 256 players participated, including 176 in the high school division and 80 in the middle school division. After two days of qualifying rounds from the 2nd, the top 128 players competed in the main event over three days from the 4th to the 6th. Samchully Group covered all green fees, caddie fees, and cart fees incurred during the tournament.
