Up to 20,000 Won Refund with Onnuri Gift Certificates When Purchasing Domestic Agricultural and Livestock Products at Traditional Markets

Refund for Onnuri Gift Certificates from 7th to 15th
Limit of 20,000 KRW per person for Agricultural and Livestock Products and Seafood Each

Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, the government is conducting a refund event for traditional market Onnuri gift certificates. Consumers can receive up to 30% of their purchase amount refunded in Onnuri gift certificates, with a limit of 20,000 KRW per person for agricultural and livestock products and 20,000 KRW for seafood products.


The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 5th that from the 9th to the 15th, they will hold the "Chuseok Traditional Market Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event" at traditional markets nationwide to ease consumer price burdens during the Chuseok holiday.


Up to 20,000 Won Refund with Onnuri Gift Certificates When Purchasing Domestic Agricultural and Livestock Products at Traditional Markets

This event refunds up to 30% of the purchase amount in Onnuri gift certificates to consumers who buy domestic agricultural, livestock, and seafood products at traditional markets, with a limit of 20,000 KRW per person for agricultural and livestock products and 20,000 KRW for seafood products. Consumers who purchase domestic agricultural, livestock, and seafood products at traditional markets can visit the refund booth within the market with their receipt and ID for identity verification and receive a refund in Onnuri gift certificates. If the purchase amount is between 34,000 KRW and less than 67,000 KRW, a refund of 10,000 KRW is given; if it is 67,000 KRW or more, a refund of 20,000 KRW is provided. In markets where both agricultural/livestock and seafood refund events are held simultaneously, refunds of up to 40,000 KRW are possible.


In addition, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries are selling Zero Pay Seafood Daejeon gift certificates and Nonghal gift certificates, which can be used to purchase agricultural, livestock, and seafood products at traditional markets, at a 20-30% discount. Nonghal gift certificates can be purchased up to 100,000 KRW, and Seafood Daejeon gift certificates can be purchased up to 200,000 KRW per person per month. A special sales period is also provided exclusively for seniors aged 65 and older who are less familiar with using mobile devices.


Song Miryung, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, "This traditional market discount event plans to operate a special sales period for Nonghal gift certificates exclusively for seniors to accommodate those who are not familiar with using mobile devices. Through the Chuseok traditional market refund event and Nonghal gift certificate discount sales, we hope consumers can feel relief from the burden of holiday shopping prices."
