한국금융지주 subsidiary Korea Investment & Securities announced on the 4th that it will hold the '2024 KIS ESG Forum' at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul on the 6th.
This forum was organized to analyze the impact of climate change on corporate management and investment environments and to present related response strategies. A total of four sessions are prepared, featuring ESG experts from various fields as speakers, including Eunjeong Lee, President of the Korean Polar Journalists Association; Chris Wei, Head of Strategic Partnerships for the Asia-Pacific region at Climeworks, the world's largest carbon capture company; Daewoong Lim, Korea Representative of the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI); and Chiyeon Cha, Senior Researcher at the Korean Accounting Standards Board.
Korea Investment & Securities' Research Division has been regularly hosting ESG forums since last year, providing a platform for public discourse on a sustainable future and corporate social responsibility.
Yoojong Woo, Head of the Research Division, said, "This forum will be an opportunity to consider response measures to the increasingly visible climate change while also gaining investment ideas and insights."
Meanwhile, the forum is open to institutional investors, corporate ESG officers, as well as individual investors interested in climate change. Applications are accepted via Google Forms until the 5th.
