Fire in Apartment in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul... 37 Residents Evacuated

A fire broke out on the 16th floor of a 25-story apartment building in Mia-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, at around 2:40 PM on the 29th and was extinguished after 1 hour and 40 minutes.

No one was injured in the fire. However, a washing machine and air conditioner inside the apartment were burned, and 37 startled residents evacuated, causing a commotion.

The fire authorities estimate that the fire started when someone left the cooking area unattended while preparing food.
