Strengthening Employment Linkage by Establishing Participatory Programs
Lotte Group's chemical division announced on the 28th that it hosted a research and development (R&D) conference at Lotte World Tower in Songpa-gu, Seoul, inviting over 130 science and engineering master's and doctoral researchers.
The R&D conference held the previous day was a recruitment event by Lotte Group's chemical division aimed at attracting outstanding talent, targeting master's and doctoral researchers in science and engineering fields.
The Lotte Group chemical division increased the number of participants compared to last year and shared research visions and achievements in line with the recruitment period for new employees at Lotte Group in the second half of this year.

The event was attended by Lee Hun-ki, General Representative of Lotte Group's chemical division, and Hwang Jin-gu, CEO of the Basic Materials Business, who introduced the company's R&D direction and talent strategy.
Additionally, 12 research mentors gave presentations on four R&D themes: battery materials, hydrogen, eco-friendly, and new materials.
They introduced various detailed technologies and industry trends such as ▲Next-generation secondary batteries and solid electrolyte technology, the future of anode materials (battery materials) ▲Current status of hydrogen and ammonia technology development, hydrogen tanks, and carbon capture technology (hydrogen) ▲Waste plastic recycling technology and cellulose eco-friendly materials (eco-friendly) ▲Lotte Chemical's R&D AI and engineering plastic materials, future energy (new materials).
In the newly established participatory program session 'Career Showcase,' participants directly presented their own research achievements, and if recognized for job relevance, they were offered preferential hiring opportunities, thereby strengthening practical recruitment linkage.

In the employment mentoring session, consultations on participants' research papers and career statements were conducted. Coaching on the latest interview trends was also provided. During the networking session, participants and mentors freely communicated about overall company life.
Lee Hun-ki, General Representative of Lotte Group's chemical division, said, "To grow as a sustainable company, we will develop the R&D conference into a platform for recruiting excellent researchers."
Earlier this year, Lotte Chemical separated its R&D organization into the Basic Chemical Research Institute and the Future Technology Research Institute to strengthen business portfolio transformation, expanding the scope of research and focusing on research and development related to future new businesses.
