One kiosk rental company promoted the slogan "A smarter wedding, more relaxed and more elegant than ever before." There is even a service that includes on-site staff to guide guests unfamiliar with using the kiosk on how to make payments. They highlighted advantages such as settling the amount per guest and the total amount, resolving congestion at the congratulatory money desk just before the wedding starts, solving the problem of empty envelopes, and having staff manage delivery, installation, operation, and collection.

The congratulatory money kiosk, which says "Easily convey your feelings," works by selecting either 'Groom's congratulatory money' or 'Bride's congratulatory money,' entering the relationship and name, and inserting cash into the machine, which then issues meal tickets and parking tickets. After the wedding ends, the money is promptly delivered to the groom and bride's sides, and a list of contributors and amounts is provided in an Excel file.

However, there has also been criticism that it is too mechanical. Congratulatory money is meant to convey heartfelt congratulations, but using a machine feels like fee collection. Some reactions said that replacing the act of receiving congratulations with a machine because it is bothersome is too cold and impersonal.
