53 Cases Related to Timf, Geumsudaero

The police are accelerating their investigation into the online shopping mall 'Allets,' which suddenly ceased operations, by receiving over 100 complaints and conducting victim investigations.

At a regular press briefing on the 26th, Kim Bong-sik, Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, stated, "As of the 23rd, 103 complaints related to Allets have been filed at the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul," adding, "Seongdong Police Station has been designated as the primary investigative unit, and we are conducting a swift investigation, including imposing a travel ban on CEO Park Seong-hye."

Earlier, on the 16th, Allets announced on its homepage that "due to unavoidable business circumstances, the service will be terminated as of the 31st." Following the sudden closure, which caused a large number of unpaid settlements and refund delays, sellers and consumers filed a fraud complaint against CEO Park with the police on the 19th. On the same day, the police imposed a travel ban on CEO Park.

In addition, the police are also speeding up investigations related to TMON and WEMAKEPRICE, which triggered a large-scale unpaid settlement crisis.

A police official said, "A total of 92 complaints and accusations have been filed concerning TMON, WEMAKEPRICE, and Happy Money," adding, "Among these, 53 cases that meet the criteria for direct investigation were transferred to the Financial Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the 14th and are currently under investigation."

He added, "We are conducting the investigation in close consultation with the prosecution."

Initially, the police planned to designate the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul as the primary investigative unit for the investigation, but the Happy Money gift certificate case was decided to be transferred.
