Yoo wrote on Facebook, "The only person who can solve the medical collapse crisis, which has become severely complicated, is the president," adding, "If this situation continues unresolved due to one person's stubbornness and obstinacy, the catastrophic outcome will be dreadful, and the public will hold the president accountable."

He pointed out, "The most urgent issue right now is the medical collapse crisis," and said, "The government increased medical school quotas by 2,000 to save essential medical care, emergency medical care, and regional medical care, but the essential and emergency medical care that the government promised to save are rapidly collapsing." He claimed, "They said that by increasing medical school quotas, 10,000 more doctors would be produced in 10 years, but immediately more than 10,000 residents have disappeared, paralyzing university hospitals, and with collective leave of absence by medical students, doctor supply will decrease starting next year." He added, "To save essential, emergency, and regional medical care, systems such as health insurance fees should have been established first to allow doctors, residents, and medical students to voluntarily choose those fields before increasing medical school quotas."

Yoo also expressed concern, saying, "The situation is serious both in the metropolitan area and provinces," and "Instead of a trickle-down effect, doctors are disappearing." He criticized, "The president passionately argued on April 1, just before the general election, that the quota should be increased by 2,000, but since that day, even though the situation has deteriorated to this extent, he has not said a word. He must realize that both the diagnosis and the prescription were wrong." He emphasized, "Now is not the time to blame anyone or debate right and wrong. We must first solve this issue where people who could have been saved under normal circumstances are dying."

He continued, "Although it is already quite late, the president must step forward directly and propose solutions to manage the crisis," and reiterated, "The president is said to announce four major reforms, including pension reform, soon. Before that, he must present a solution to prevent the medical collapse."
