Gumi Meister Mentor Group Leads Promotion for National Skills Competition

Kindness Campaign Launched for Successful Event Hosting

The Gumi City Meister Mentor Group in North Gyeongsang Province conducted a promotional campaign for the successful hosting of the National Skills Competition on the 22nd, with about 25 participants including Meister Mentor Group members and officials from the North Gyeongsang Employers Federation, at the covered stream in Songjeong-dong.

As Gumi City is the main venue for the National Skills Competition, Meister Mentor Group members visited the restaurant district along the Songjeong covered stream to distribute promotional items such as disposable aprons and leaflets, and encouraged friendly service, aiming to raise citizens' interest in the event.

Shim Ilseop, head of the Meister Mentor Group, said, "I am pleased that we could contribute, even in a small way, to the successful hosting of the National Skills Competition through this campaign."

Yu Taeran, head of the Labor Welfare Division, said, "I would like to thank the Meister Mentor Group for their efforts in promoting the National Skills Competition despite their busy schedules. We will continue to expand policies that encourage skilled technicians and spread a positive perception of professional technicians."

Since its establishment in October 2013, the Gumi City Meister Mentor Group has consisted of 46 members, including Korea Master Craftsmen, National Quality Masters, and top artisans from North Gyeongsang Province and Gumi City. The group contributes to the development of the local community through technical support consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises, industrial field trips and career aptitude education for Meister High School students, and community service activities.
