KGM held a 'Transformation Day' event at its headquarters Design Center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, to announce this. Chairman Kwak stated, "KGM, which has endured many hardships during the SsangYong era, has strived and run to become a beloved company, a necessary company, and a respected company through new thinking and actions." He emphasized, "KGM, with a 70-year history of always pursuing firsts, including the start of the authentic SUV with Korando and Musso, and Korea's first luxury sedan Chairman, will usher in another history through this proclamation ceremony."

He also expressed confidence in the Actyon. Chairman Kwak said, "Although the past Actyon did not gain much popularity, I hope it will be loved again under its original name, not a new one," adding, "I am confident that it has become an excellent car loved by many citizens and customers worldwide with good quality, price, and stylish design."

The brand identity KGM promotes is 'Practical Creativity.' The company aims to provide creative and practical products by adding a new image of 'joy' to its existing strength of safety.

The Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Actyon, the first vehicle released under the KGM name, fully embodies this strategy. Jung-hyun Kwak, Head of KGM's Business Strategy Division, explained, "Through a brand strategy that connects two contrasting elements, we aim to create new value that satisfies any lifestyle customers desire." He added, "Actyon is KGM's first new model reflecting this new brand strategy, offering unique value as an urban SUV that combines the beautiful style of a coupe with the inherent utility of an SUV."

Signs of success are already emerging. The pre-order number revealed on this day totaled 58,085 units, surpassing the internal target of 50,000 and approaching 60,000. Among these, 13,127 orders were converted into official contracts between the 12th and 18th. This achievement was made without yet releasing display and test drive vehicles.

KGM plans to focus on differentiated product development through △applying distinctive designs △improving UI/UX △providing reliable quality △developing advanced ADAS. Kyung-joon Park, Head of KGM's Domestic Business Division, stated, "We have excellent design and included only the specifications customers truly need, achieving price competitiveness." He added, "We will continue innovating from the Actyon launch by strengthening services such as special quality inspections and residual value guarantee programs."

The Actyon unveiled on this day was released in two trims, ▲S7 priced at 33.95 million KRW and ▲S9 at 36.59 million KRW, with various safety and convenience features standardized from the entry model. Most specifications are included in the mid-30 million KRW price range.

Additionally, through the 'Actyon Super Guarantee Program,' a used car price guarantee service, KGM promises to guarantee residual values of 60% within 3 years and 45% within 5 years based on the actual vehicle purchase price when selling the vehicle back to KGM as a used car.

KGM is accelerating online sales, collaborating for the first time in the automotive industry with Naver, Korea's largest portal site. From payment and contract signing to vehicle quality inspection and delivery, everything can be conveniently handled through Naver's brand store. The company plans to expand the online channel beyond a simple sales space into a platform that provides customer-tailored value based on data such as vehicle operation information.
