Hanwha Legend Commentator Kim Taekyun Donates 5 Million Won to Hongseong County

The 2nd Kim Taekyun Baseball Camp to Be Held in Hongseong on October 26

Kim Taekyun, a baseball commentator and honorary ambassador for Hongseong County, Chungnam, has donated 5 million won to the Hongseong Sarang Scholarship Foundation.

According to Hongseong County on the 19th, Kim recently donated all proceeds from the publication of his book "My Thoughts on Batting" to support local talent.

In addition, on October 26, the 2nd Kim Taekyun Baseball Camp will be held at the Manhae Baseball Stadium in Hongseong.

The county plans to organize a systematic program together with current and former KBO players.

At the 1st Kim Taekyun Baseball Camp held in November last year, NC Dinos player Son Ahseop, Doosan Bears player Heo Kyungmin, Samsung Lions players Kang Minho and Koo Jaook, commentator Yoo Heegwan, and KBO coaches participated.

Lee Yongrok, governor of Hongseong County, said, "I am grateful to Kim Taekyun for his dedication as an honorary ambassador for Hongseong County, not only through his talent donation but also through his financial contributions," and added, "We will do our best to ensure the success of the 2nd baseball camp."
