The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency will investigate the damages related to Happy Money gift certificates that arose from the settlement delays of Tmon and Wemakeprice.
According to the police on the 16th, the Gangnam Police Station transferred 54 complaints and accusations related to Happy Money gift certificates to the Financial Crime Investigation Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on the 14th.
Buyers of Happy Money gift certificates filed complaints with the police accusing Ryu Seung-seon, CEO of Happy Money I&C, of fraud, claiming they were unable to receive refunds and their usage was suspended due to the settlement delay issues of Tmon and Wemakeprice.
Earlier, a Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated at a press conference on the 12th that a total of 62 complaints and accusations related to the Tmon and Wemakeprice incident had been received at the Gangnam Police Station, of which 54 were related to Happy Money.
