Jeong Myeong-geun, mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "I hope the seniors who have endured this year's difficult heat will remain healthy for the rest of the year," adding, "We will continue to do our best to establish senior welfare policies for the healthy and prosperous lives of the elderly."

The welfare center is equipped with counseling rooms, physical therapy rooms, senior dining halls, rest areas, billiard rooms, table tennis rooms, janggi and baduk rooms, a large conference room, program rooms, calligraphy and art rooms, and DIY craft rooms.
