Ongoing at COEX Until the 16th

'The 2024 Korea Display Industry Exhibition (K-Display 2024)' will be held for three days from the 14th to the 16th at COEX in Seoul. Marking its 23rd edition this year, the exhibition is a specialized domestic event where the latest display technologies and products can be seen at a glance. The two leading domestic panel companies, which possess the world's top technology in the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) field, along with numerous domestic and international materials, parts, and equipment companies, will participate extensively (157 companies, 577 booths).

Under the slogan 'Wake The Frame,' this exhibition will showcase the future vision of innovative displays and application products, including an ultra-small, ultra-high-resolution display for extended reality (XR) with 4K TV-level resolution in a coin-sized (1.03-inch) form factor, a foldable smartphone prototype featuring a 6.7-inch panel that can be folded 360° inward and outward, and a leisure autonomous vehicle equipped with a giant transparent display.

In the materials, parts, and equipment sector, various products such as stacked red, green, and blue (RGB) LEDs that significantly improve the performance and process efficiency of microLEDs will be exhibited.

Alongside the exhibition, various side events such as job fairs, trade consultations, and on-site seminars will be held. In particular, the trade consultation will see a significant increase in participation from overseas purchasing companies (buyers) to actively support the export of domestic materials, parts, and equipment companies.

At the opening ceremony, Lee Seung-ryeol, Director of the Industrial Policy Office, awarded the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Awards (6 prizes) to companies that contributed to innovation in display technology and toured the exhibition site, encouraging the industry by stating, "We will continue to strengthen government support such as R&D investment and on-site workforce training so that our companies can further solidify their OLED technology lead and expand OLED into new markets such as automobiles and XR."
