Over 1,000 group tourists rewarded by a Chinese company visited Gyeonggi Province on the 12th.
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the 13th that employees and their families of the bio company ‘An Gajeongshim Group,’ headquartered in Guangdong Province, China, a sister region of Gyeonggi Province, will visit Gyeonggi from the 12th to the 14th as part of the company’s 17th anniversary celebration.
They arrived at Incheon Port on the 12th and will stay in Gimpo, Paju, and Anyang within the province until the 14th, engaging in various experiential tours such as visiting kimchi and seaweed experience facilities in Goyang City.
In particular, on their first day in Korea, the 12th, they visited Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park in Gyeonggi Province to explore nearby tourist resources, and in the evening, they enjoyed a chicken and beer party and performances at the Pyeonghwa Nuri Grand Theater.
Earlier, to attract this group of tourists, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization held a ‘Gyeonggi Tourism Briefing Session’ linked with ferries in Shandong Province on June 20. Additionally, from June 26 to 29, they conducted a familiarization tour of Gyeonggi Province for major travel agencies in Shandong Province.
Jo Wonyong, president of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization, said, "Corporate reward group tourism has a greater economic impact than general package tours due to higher consumer spending, and demand for reward tourism is expected to continue increasing. We will actively promote Gyeonggi’s differentiated tourism content and MICE resources such as the DMZ, Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri, World Cultural Heritage sites, local cuisine, wellness, and unique venues, and do our best to attract large-scale corporate reward tourism groups from overseas."
