Kim Tae-gyu, Acting Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, urged employees on the 12th to ensure that there is no disruption in work.
On the same day, Acting Chairman Kim held an expanded executive meeting in the morning to review the major initiatives of each department and made this request. This was to strengthen internal discipline to prevent any setbacks in broadcasting and communications policies due to the impeachment crisis of Chairman Lee Jin-sook.
The Korea Communications Commission decided to regularly monitor the progress of work and strengthen collaboration with related ministries such as the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission.
Additionally, upon the chairman’s return, they plan to promptly conduct broadcasting and communications market inspections and fact-finding investigations so that major agenda items can be addressed through a plenary meeting.
Furthermore, they intend to conduct thorough on-site visits to regulated institutions to closely check whether user protection tasks are being carried out without any gaps.
Acting Chairman Kim encouraged, "It is true that the Korea Communications Commission is facing a difficult situation, but ultimately, it is the employees themselves who can overcome this crisis," adding, "Let us strive to faithfully fulfill the Commission’s fundamental role of protecting the rights and interests of broadcasting and communications users."
