2NE1, All Seats Sold Out for Seoul Concert After 10 Years, "One Additional Show Added"

On the 12th, management company YG Entertainment revealed that 2NE1 will hold an additional performance of the '2024 2NE1 Concert "WELCOME BACK" in Seoul' on October 4 at the Olympic Hall in Seoul Olympic Park.

Originally, the concerts were scheduled for the 5th and 6th, but YG stated that due to overwhelming requests from fans who were unable to secure tickets, they decided to expand the schedule.

Following the initial ticket sales, which saw over 400,000 simultaneous visitors and sold out both days in a flash, the additional concert was confirmed. Thus, the Seoul concert will be held a total of three times.

Since debuting in 2009, 2NE1 gained immense popularity with numerous hit songs such as "Fire," "I Don’t Care," "Lonely," and "I Am the Best." Their 2014 album "Crush" reached number 61 on the Billboard 200, the main chart in the United States, and they showcased their global influence through two world tours.

However, they could not overcome the critical 7-year contract renewal period and began disbandment procedures in 2016. In April, member Gong Minji announced her solo activities and left first, followed by Park Bom, who did not renew her contract with YG, leading to the group's disbandment decision in November. In January 2017, 2NE1 released their final song "GOOD BYE" and went their separate ways.

Later, in April 2022, 2NE1 surprised fans by performing as a complete group at the United States' largest music festival, the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2022," showcasing their unwavering skills and creating a buzz. The four members gathered in one place after CL was invited by Coachella organizers, marking their first reunion as a full group in 6 years and 4 months.

Since Coachella, the members have maintained close communication and this year advanced discussions about 2NE1 with YG’s general producer Yang Hyun-suk, leading to an official reunion. Starting with the Seoul concert, 2NE1 will continue their tour at Kobe World Hall in Japan at the end of November and Ariake Arena in Tokyo in early December. They plan to expand their global tour schedule thereafter.

General ticket sales for the additional Seoul concert will be available from 8 PM on the 21st via Interpark Ticket. To open tickets for the additional show, the ongoing ticket sales for the existing concerts will be temporarily suspended.
