Yeongdeok County Public Health Center Takes Preemptive Measures Against COVID-19 Resurgence

The Yeongdeok County Public Health Center in North Gyeongsang Province is currently distributing masks and rapid antigen test kits to vulnerable facilities in need, in response to recent signs of a COVID-19 resurgence. The center is also conducting education on infectious disease prevention and management guidelines.

This measure is a proactive response to the temporary nationwide increase observed around July and August, aiming to prevent the spread of infection and ensure the safety of residents in vulnerable groups.


Additionally, the Yeongdeok County Public Health Center is providing guidance on reporting systems and infectious disease prevention and management guidelines in the event of cluster outbreaks involving 10 or more people within the same group. The center plans to continue monitoring the infection situation and respond swiftly to any cluster outbreaks.


Public Health Center Director Gong Jaeyong stated, "If you experience respiratory symptoms, please undergo a rapid antigen test and other COVID-19 treatment measures at a nearby hospital or clinic first. We also ask that individuals take personal responsibility in following respiratory infectious disease prevention guidelines, such as wearing masks, washing hands, practicing proper cough etiquette, and ventilating indoor spaces."
