"Employees' Comfort Leads to Better Service"... Seocho-gu Installs Staff Lounges in All Community Centers

Equipped with Cafeteria Function, 'Adamsso' Also Offers Space for Individual Relaxation

"Employees' Comfort Leads to Better Service"... Seocho-gu Installs Staff Lounges in All Community Centers

Seocho-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 8th that it has received great responses by installing employee rest areas in 18 community service centers within the district.

Community service centers are government offices that provide administrative services at the closest point of contact with residents, often requiring emergency duty during summer flood control and overnight shifts during winter snow removal. However, there was a lack of proper space for waiting during emergency duties, forcing employees to take short naps or rest uncomfortably on chairs.

Additionally, based on employee feedback, many civil servants in charge of civil complaints expressed inconvenience during lunch hours when there are no nearby restaurants around the office building.

To address these issues, Seocho-gu created employee rest areas with cafeteria functions where meals can be eaten in all 18 community service centers. Various convenience items such as coffee machines, electric kettles, refrigerators, ice makers, and water purifiers were also provided.

Furthermore, the district installed ‘Adamsso,’ a private rest space for employees, in all community service centers by last month. ‘Adamsso’ is equipped with facilities such as massage chairs and Bluetooth speakers.

Mayor Jeon Seong-su said, “We will strive to ensure that community service center employees, including civil servants in charge of civil complaints and the MZ generation, can work in a comfortable environment and provide excellent administrative services to residents.”
