The 'Ttareungi Rampage Alliance (Ttarokyeon)', known for reckless driving on Seoul's public bicycles 'Ttareungi', has announced a gathering in downtown Seoul. The police have stated their intention to strictly crack down on this.

The Traffic Safety Division of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 3rd, "There was a notice on the Ttarokyeon social networking service (SNS) about a rampage gathering with bicycles and personal mobility devices (PM) at 6 p.m. on the 4th," adding, "We will strictly enforce regulations on-site to prevent accidents and ensure citizen safety."

Since Ttarokyeon declared plans to travel back and forth between Seongsu and Yongsan areas, the police have decided to conduct crackdowns around the northern end of Jamsugyo Bridge in Yongsan-gu, Seongsu Station in Seongdong-gu, and the Cheongdam-dong area in Gangnam-gu.

The police stated, "(This gathering) can cause various accident risks and inconvenience to citizens, and violations of road traffic laws such as walking on sidewalks are subject to fines or penalties," urging "people to refrain from participating in events and activities that are expected to cause citizen inconvenience and safety hazards."

Previously, Ttarokyeon faced criticism after posting videos on SNS showing them speeding on Ttareungi bicycles and electric kickboards on sidewalks and roads in Seoul. They dangerously passed close to pedestrians and appeared to mock the police officers who were trying to enforce regulations.
