On the 2nd (Korean time), Lim Si-hyun defeated Puerto Rico's Alondra Rivera with a set score of 6-0 (26-23 28-18 29-24) in the women's individual archery round of 64 at the 2024 Paris Olympics held at the Les Invalides archery venue in Paris, France.

From the first set, strong winds blew, and although Lim Si-hyun scored 8 points with her first arrow, Rivera scored 6 points, starting the match at 26-23. In the second set, while Rivera scored 5, 6, and 7 points, Lim Si-hyun shot two consecutive 10s, easily taking the set.

In the third set, Rivera also recorded two consecutive 10s to catch up but then scored 5 points and faltered. Lim Si-hyun finished the set with 9-10-10, totaling 29 points.

On the 29th, Lim Si-hyun won the gold medal in the women's team archery event alongside Jeon Hun-young (Incheon City Hall) and Nam Soo-hyun (Suncheon City Hall). The Korean women's archery team has completed a 10 consecutive gold medal streak starting from the 1988 Seoul Games through this tournament.

Lim Si-hyun is aiming for a triple crown at the tournament. Having already won both the first and second World Cup individual events, she is considered the strongest favorite for the championship.

Additionally, Lim Si-hyun will compete in the mixed team event alongside Kim Woo-jin, who advanced as the top-ranked male archer in the ranking round. Traditionally, Korean archery grants mixed team event spots to the male and female archers with the best results in the ranking round at major international competitions. Both athletes are undoubtedly the world's best archers. They have already demonstrated strong synergy, having competed as a pair in the first and second World Cups this year and winning the first World Cup together.

With Lim Si-hyun advancing to the round of 32, expectations for a clean sweep of gold medals by the archery national team have grown even higher. All Korean athletes are expected to fiercely compete as top contenders for the championship.
