On the 31st, Samsung Electronics announced its confirmed business segment results for the second quarter of this year and stated in a conference call, "We plan to increase the sales proportion of HBM3E in the second half of the year."

Regarding the significant improvement in semiconductor performance in the second quarter, Samsung Electronics explained, "Thanks to the demand for generative artificial intelligence (AI), sales of high bandwidth memory (HBM) increased by the mid-50% range compared to the previous quarter," and added, "We expect server demand to continue and will actively respond to high value-added products in the second half of the year." Meanwhile, according to the second-quarter results announced by Samsung Electronics on the same day, the Device Solutions (DS) division, which is responsible for the semiconductor business, recorded sales of 28.56 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 6.45 trillion KRW.
