Doosan Enerbility announced that it expects the largest-ever order volume with Team Korea's Czech nuclear power plant contract.

Doosan Enerbility "Expecting Record High Orders from Czech Nuclear Power Plant" (Comprehensive) Overview of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant in the Czech Republic

The new Czech nuclear power plant project involves Dukovany Units 5 and 6, with a budget of approximately 12 trillion KRW per unit, aiming for completion in October 2036.

The Czech government plans to negotiate contract terms and pricing with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power by the end of the year and finalize the contract in March next year. Doosan Enerbility is expected to sign a follow-up contract with KHNP within next year.

Doosan Enerbility explained, "After the UAE nuclear power plant, this is the first export of Korean-type nuclear power plants in 15 years, which is expected to have a positive impact on additional new nuclear power plant orders in Europe," adding, "We have proven competitive advantages in terms of technology and price, establishing an export foothold for follow-up nuclear projects in Europe, including Poland, Sweden, and the Netherlands."

Additionally, Doosan Enerbility is increasing orders based on its domestic large gas turbine technology. In June, it recorded order achievements including Boryeong combined cycle long-term service (120 billion KRW), Andong combined cycle long-term service (87 billion KRW), Bundang cogeneration (260 billion KRW), and Haman combined cycle contract (580 billion KRW).

Doosan Enerbility stated, "Due to demand for carbon-free power sources and data centers, gas turbine demand will continue to increase," and explained, "We expect cumulative gas turbine orders to reach approximately 10 trillion KRW by 2028."

Doosan Enerbility's operating profit for the second quarter was 309.8 billion KRW, a 37.3% decrease compared to the same period last year. Sales decreased by 8.5% to 4.1505 trillion KRW, and net profit fell 15.9% to 220.7 billion KRW.

On a consolidated basis for the first half of the year, sales decreased by 3.9% year-on-year to 8.2484 trillion KRW, and operating profit decreased by 22.3% to 667.9 billion KRW. Net profit increased by 11.1% year-on-year to 481.8 billion KRW due to gains from investment stock valuation and other factors.
