The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority has set the development concept to attract artists from various fields such as video, scriptwriting, photography, and fine arts, and to develop the content they create in a way that tourists can enjoy.
The development area will be within 30% of the total project site, with development carried out in a manner that maximally preserves the existing environment and nature. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to begin construction in 2026 after establishing detailed plans and conducting environmental impact assessments.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority expects that once the Ecobius project is completed, it will create synergy with the nearby marine tourism complex, Hansang Dream Island.
An official from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority stated, "The cultural and artistic content industry is a sustainable, future-oriented, high value-added industry," adding, "We will strive to make the cultural and artistic industry a new growth engine for Incheon by linking the Ecobius development project with various K-content industries in Incheon."
