Jungnang-gu Holds the 93rd Sofa Bang Jeong-hwan Memorial Ceremony

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) attended the 93rd Memorial Ceremony for Teacher So-pa Bang Jeong-hwan held at Mangwoo History and Culture Park on the 23rd.

Hosted by the Saekdonghoe Corporation, the memorial ceremony included a memorial address, commemorative performances, and flower offerings. About 50 people participated, including Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi, Saekdonghoe Chairperson Park Geum-hee, the Bang family clan association, and the Korea Children's Literature Association.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu stated, “We will carry on Teacher Bang Jeong-hwan’s love for children and his educational spirit,” adding, “We will create an environment where all children in Jungnang can grow up happily.”

The district has expanded its education budget to 12 billion KRW and held the groundbreaking ceremony for the 2nd Bang Jeong-hwan Education Support Center in June, striving to establish itself as an educational city that continues Teacher So-pa Bang Jeong-hwan’s educational philosophy.
