Germany forcibly disbands Hezbollah-supporting Islamic organizations... Raids conducted at 53 locations

"IZH, Against the German Constitutional Order"

The German government has forcibly disbanded a domestic Islamic organization. The reason cited was its support for the pro-Iran armed faction Hezbollah and the spread of anti-Semitism.

On the 24th (local time), the German Ministry of the Interior announced the ban on the Hamburg Islamic Center (IZH) and five affiliated groups. On the same morning, authorities raided 53 locations, including the organization's stronghold, the Islamic mosque 'Blue Mosque' in Hamburg, and began confiscating assets.

Authorities pointed out that IZH funded the Lebanese Shia armed faction Hezbollah, incited anti-Semitism, and opposed the German constitutional order.

According to local media, IZH was established in 1953 by Iranian exiles. Authorities have monitored IZH since 1993, classifying it as an extremist organization, stating that it follows the Islamic fundamentalism of the Iranian government after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) identified Mohammad Hadi Mofatteh, who leads the organization, as having served in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in the 1990s.
