As heavy rains continued during this month's monsoon season, the number of vehicles damaged by flooding has exceeded 3,500.

According to the non-life insurance industry on the 23rd, since the monsoon season began in earnest on the 6th, a total of 3,525 vehicles with flood damage have been reported to 12 non-life insurance companies selling auto insurance as of 9 a.m. today. The estimated damage amount is approximately 31.878 billion KRW.

Last night, heavy rain fell mainly in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province, causing flooding of roads and houses in various places, along with power outages and isolation damage. Since the monsoon season is not yet over and the path of Typhoon "Gaemi," the third typhoon coming from the Philippines, remains uncertain, the damage is expected to increase further.
