Korea Import Association Holds Korea-China 1-on-1 Import Consultation Meeting... "Expecting Expanded Exchange"

70 Korean Companies and 200 Chinese Companies Attend
Recorded Over 350 Consultation Cases

The Korea Importers Association (KOIMA) import delegation announced on the 18th that it held a Korea-China Business Forum and Korea-China 1-on-1 Import Consultation Meeting at the Zhonghan Hotel in Yancheng City, China, on the 17th to diversify the global supply chain and expand trade.

The event was attended by key figures from both countries, including Kim Byung-kwan, Chairman of the Korea Importers Association, Zhang Minggang, Mayor of Yancheng, Kim Young-jun, Consul General of Korea in Shanghai, Zhu Shuyang, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce, as well as 70 member companies of the Korea Importers Association and over 200 companies from Jiangsu Province, China.


In his keynote speech, Chairman Kim said, “I would like to express my gratitude to Yancheng City for inviting the KOIMA import delegation at a very important time for Korea-China trade cooperation,” adding, “With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yancheng City and the 1-on-1 import consultation meeting, I expect exchanges between companies of the two countries to expand further.”


Mayor Zhang stated, “More than 1,000 Korean companies, including Kia Motors, Hyundai Mobis, and SK On, have already entered Yancheng City,” and added, “With the visit of the KOIMA import delegation, I hope that trade between the two countries will expand, as well as cooperation in Yancheng’s key industry of renewable energy.”


The Korea-China import consultation meeting was conducted through 1-on-1 business-to-business (B2B) matching between Chinese suppliers and Korean importers. The consultation resulted in approximately 350 cases.
