Kyobo Life Insurance announced on the 17th that it held the 'Declaration and Pledge Ceremony for the Revision of the Financial Consumer Protection Charter' to protect and promote the rights and interests of financial consumers.
On the 12th, Kyobo Life Insurance held the pledge ceremony at Gyesungwon (Kyobo Life Training Center) in Cheonan, Chungnam, attended by CEO Daegyu Cho, headquarters executives and team leaders, regional managers, division heads and business unit heads, support team leaders, and branch managers from various levels.
Marking the first anniversary of the enforcement of the Financial Consumer Protection Act (hereinafter referred to as the FCPA), Kyobo Life Insurance declared the Financial Consumer Protection Charter to strengthen consumer protection capabilities, and recently revised the charter in line with the financial authorities' consumer protection direction and changing consumer protection trends.
At the pledge ceremony, CEO Cho signed the Financial Consumer Protection Charter on behalf of all executives, employees, and financial planners (FPs), reaffirming the commitment to consumer protection.
Kyobo Life Insurance has established a Consumer Protection Office directly under the CEO, with the head of the Consumer Protection Office overseeing consumer protection tasks, and operates independent Consumer Protection Centers in seven regions nationwide.
Additionally, internal control standards for consumer protection have been established to regularly check compliance and select and reward outstanding organizations.
Recognizing these efforts to protect financial consumers, Kyobo Life Insurance has obtained the Consumer-Centered Management (CCM) certification from the Fair Trade Commission for nine consecutive times and was inducted into the 'CCM Excellent Company Hall of Fame' in 2019.
