Amorepacific, 100th Anniversary Video Retrospective of Former Chairman Seoseonghwan's Birth

'Jangwon (Jangwon) Seo Seonghwan, Meeting Today' Held

Amorepacific announced on the 17th that it will hold a video retrospective exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Seosunghwan, the former chairman.

Held under the title "Jangwon (粧源) Seosunghwan, Meeting Today," the exhibition will take place from the 19th of this month to the 16th of next month on the first floor of Amorepacific's Yongsan headquarters.

This exhibition contains the story of former chairman Seosunghwan, who said, "I may not have the biggest company, but I want to create the most beautiful company." Visitors can look back on Chairman Seo's life through videos and interactive experiences.

The exhibition hall is divided into three zones centered around a video screening room that reflects on Chairman Seo. In the first space, visitors can learn about the life of former chairman Seosunghwan, who became the seed of the current Amorepacific. It introduces his main achievements from the 1950s to the 1980s along with some of his personal belongings.

In the second space, visitors can watch a retrospective video about 20 minutes long, produced to commemorate Seosunghwan's 100th anniversary. The video consists of interviews with senior figures who worked with and had connections to the former chairman. The third space contains questions that Seosunghwan in his youth poses to us living in the present. Visitors can engage in an interactive experience by responding to the messages and questions he raises.

The exhibition is open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. without any holidays and is free of charge. The video screening room requires a separate reservation online and operates every hour on the hour and at the half-hour mark. Visitors will be entered into a drawing to receive a revised edition of Chairman Seo's biography or a special photo book.
