Despite Biden's Determination to Finish... "Quiet Efforts to Persuade Resignation Continue"

Democratic Party Lawmakers and Strategists
Lobbying Biden's Key Aides to Resign

Despite President Joe Biden dismissing calls for a candidate replacement, CNN reported on the 15th (local time) that behind-the-scenes lobbying efforts are underway through his aides to urge his resignation.

According to Democratic sources familiar with the matter, Stanley Greenberg, a polling expert within the Democratic Party, sent multiple memos to Biden's staff and a core White House group over two weeks following the last presidential debate, predicting a crushing defeat for President Biden in the election. In the memos, Greenberg argued that internal poll analysis showed an overwhelming majority of Americans are skeptical about the incumbent president’s re-election, and that the president’s standing is continuously deteriorating.

Democrats who received Greenberg’s memos reportedly described them with terms such as "Lose everything" and "Devastating." Greenberg, a veteran polling expert with decades of experience in the Democratic Party, previously served as an advisor to former President Bill Clinton’s campaign. He declined to comment on the matter.

It has also been revealed that Democratic lawmakers in the legislature are participating in the covert lobbying efforts. Sources said they have been quietly persuading Biden’s senior advisors to resign, warning not only of a potential failure in re-election but also of the damage to the Biden administration’s achievements if the Republicans gain the majority in Congress. However, some senior aides, while recognizing the seriousness of the situation, firmly believe that the tide can turn at any time and that President Biden can still win.

Meanwhile, after refraining from political offensives following the assassination attempt on former President Trump, President Biden appears to have drawn his sword again. In a recent interview with NBC News, Biden targeted Trump, saying, "I am not a man who said from day one of my inauguration that I would become a dictator or refuse to accept election results." Regarding Senator J.D. Vance, who was selected as Trump’s vice-presidential candidate at the Republican National Convention, Biden criticized him as someone who would break the law to realize Trump’s agenda.
