Group Girls' Generation member Yoona's small building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, which she purchased for 10 billion KRW in 2018, is estimated to have increased in value by 15 billion KRW over six years.

In October 2018, Yoona bought a building near Dosan-daero in Gangnam-gu for 70.68 million KRW per 3.3㎡ (1 pyeong), totaling 10 billion KRW. The building has a total floor area of 1,462.56㎡ (approximately 442.42 pyeong) and a land area of 467.70㎡ (approximately 141.48 pyeong). It is a building constructed in 2014 with two basement floors and four above-ground floors. It is located about a 10-minute walk from Gangnam-gu Office Station on Line 7 and Apgujeong Rodeo Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. Although it is a residential area, it is a top investment area where properties sell immediately once listed.

It is reported that Yoona purchased the building under her personal name. Since a mortgage with a maximum claim amount of 7.2 billion KRW was set, it is estimated that Yoona invested 4 billion KRW in cash. It is said that a software development company rents the entire building. Based on the 2018 purchase price and applying the current 2024 rental income, the yield reaches 6.38%.

The industry estimates the current market price of the building at 25 billion KRW. This estimate is based on a transaction case about 300 meters away from the building, where the price per pyeong was 172 million KRW in June 2023. Multiplying the land price per pyeong of 172 million KRW by the land area (141 pyeong) results in an estimated market price of 24.3 billion KRW.

In addition, Yoona purchased a 144㎡ (approximately 43 pyeong) unit in Lotte Castle Premier located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 2.3 billion KRW in 2018. Lotte Castle Premier is a complex completed in 2007, consisting of 11 buildings with up to 22 floors above ground, offering exclusive areas ranging from 84㎡ to 213㎡, with a total of 713 households.

She also owns a unit in Mark Hills Cheongdam 1st Phase in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu. The supply area is 260㎡, with an exclusive area of 183㎡, and it is known that she purchased it in February 2022 for 5.7 billion KRW entirely in cash without any loans. The luxury apartment complex was completed in 2010, consisting of two buildings with two basement floors and 22 floors above ground, offering exclusive areas ranging from 183㎡ to 273㎡, with a total of 38 households.
