Visit to Gwangju Childcare Support Center, Collecting Ideas
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that the first Innovation Avengers group of 2024, the '9 Avengers Team,' visited the Gwangju Childcare Comprehensive Support Center located in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, on the 5th for benchmarking purposes.
Launched for the first time this year, the Gokseong-gun Innovation Avengers is an autonomous innovation group of employees aimed at improving work methods and organizational culture, as well as discovering ideas for county administration.
Composed of social welfare level 9 public officials, the 9 Avengers Team promoted this benchmarking to develop a new childcare service brand unique to Gokseong-gun and to propose a better comprehensive childcare support service exclusive to Gokseong-gun.
The Gwangju Childcare Comprehensive Support Center, visited by the 9 Avengers Team, envisions realizing happy childcare based on establishing a high-quality childcare and parenting environment, and is currently planning and operating various projects supporting families and daycare centers.
Center Director Joo Ji-yoon introduced ongoing projects and said, “Public childcare support services are being expanded nationwide to solve the low birthrate problem, which is pushing South Korea into an extreme crisis,” adding, “I hope the '9 Avengers Team' will create a new childcare support service brand unique to Gokseong-gun through their project.”
Meanwhile, the '9 Avengers Team' plans to propose an effective Gokseong-type comprehensive i-care service through additional research on domestic and international childcare support services, as well as close consultations and surveys with Gokseong-gun residents and employees.
