This meeting was organized to review the first half of the year and to promote communication and cooperation between the county and eup and myeon offices around the second year of the 8th local government term. It was a time to exchange opinions on major county administration issues with eup and myeon heads working on the front lines.

Governor Lee Byeong-no emphasized, “We must concentrate administrative efforts on establishing a safety system to prepare for heatwaves, heavy rains, and typhoons,” and urged, “Eup and myeon heads should thoroughly conduct on-site inspections throughout the jurisdiction to prevent casualties caused by disasters.”

He requested careful attention to the safety of vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and participants in senior job programs during the heatwave, the establishment of disaster countermeasures by sector, the creation of an emergency disaster preparedness system, on-site surveillance, and public announcements through village broadcasts to minimize damage to citizens’ lives and property.

Additionally, with the peak vacation season underway, he ordered active implementation of safety rules at campgrounds, rural homestays, and water play facilities, as well as inspections of traffic facilities around tourist sites to prevent safety accidents among tourists.

Governor Lee stated, “As we wrap up the first half of the year, we should review the achievements of the second year of the 8th local government term and check the progress of ongoing projects. For underperforming projects, promotion measures should be prepared and actively reflected in the county administration for the second half of the year,” and added, “Please pay more attention to and promote the Hometown Love Donation System in the second half of the year to revitalize the region.”
