Comprehensive Hanwoo Feeding Management Consulting and Resolving Farm Difficulties

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that on the 26th, Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center and the National Institute of Animal Science of the Rural Development Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Animal Science Institute) cooperated to conduct a 'Comprehensive Consulting on Hanwoo Feeding Management' for 60 Hanwoo farmers at the main auditorium of the Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center.

This consulting aimed to address the difficulties faced by Hanwoo farmers due to recent declines in Hanwoo prices and rising feed costs. It featured expert lectures and in-depth Q&A sessions on feeding management of breeding cows, calves, and fattening cattle for producing high-quality Hanwoo beef.

In the second half of this year, they plan to visit farms that require on-site technical support and provide specialized consulting to resolve immediate technical challenges.

A farmer who attended the consulting said, "With the continuous rise in feed prices, farm management has become difficult, but receiving consulting on technical improvements such as fattening cattle feeding and disease management will greatly help increase income through producing high-quality beef."

Kim Sook-hee, director of the Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We hope that this consulting will contribute to improving the income of Hanwoo farmers who are struggling due to management deterioration such as the decline in Hanwoo wholesale prices."
