Collaboration for the Super-Aged Era: Training Silver Care Professionals and More
Shilla University (President Nam-Sik Heo) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tongmyong University and 14 social welfare institutions and associations in the Silver Care sector of the Busan Future Well-Life project to promote the Glocal University 30 initiative.
The signing ceremony, held on the 20th at the International Protocol Room of Busan City Hall, was attended by Shilla University President Nam-Sik Heo, Busan Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs Lee Junseung, Tongmyong University Vice President Seunggu Cho, and representatives from 14 Silver Care institutions in Busan.
On this day, each institution agreed to mutually cooperate on the following: ▲ successful promotion of the Glocal University 30 project ▲ smooth exchange and cooperation among partner institutions in the Future Well-Life (Silver Care sector) ▲ joint cooperation and development for curriculum development and establishment of educational systems related to welfare education and professional workforce training ▲ mutual cooperation and support for field practice and support related to nurturing and developing professional talent in the welfare sector ▲ exchange and joint utilization of human, material, and informational resources for high-quality welfare program and policy development, as well as research and surveys ▲ establishment and operation of an organic cooperation system for the development of community welfare and social contribution, all for the successful promotion of the Glocal University 30 project and the training of professionals in the welfare sector.
The 14 Silver Care institutions participating in the agreement include the Busan Senior Welfare Center Association, Busan Social Contribution Information Center, Busan Council on Social Welfare, Busan Social Welfare Center Association, Busan Association of Social Workers, Busan Social Service Center, Busan Volunteer Center, Busan Metropolitan Self-Sufficiency Center, Busan Senior Job Support Center, Busan Association of Welfare Centers for the Disabled, Busan Women and Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, Busan Regional Self-Sufficiency Center Association, Busan Regional Child Center Association, and Busan Senior Club Association.
