Seowon Valley, 10th Free Joint Wedding Ceremony for Multicultural Families

On the 26th, the event took place inside the Seowon Hills 'Amor Rainbow Tunnel (Tunnel of Love)' located in Gwangtan-myeon, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, with 200 guests in attendance. The wedding celebrated a Korean groom and brides from Mongolia, China, and the United States. The officiant was Robert Hallie, who is from a multicultural family. Singers Lee Juck, Yurisangja, and Wax participated as talent donors for the congratulatory performances. The host was Lee Jonghyun, director of Leisure Newspaper.

Choi Deung-gyu, chairman of Daebo Group, provided full support free of charge for everything related to the weddings of the four multicultural couples, including a wedding stage set costing over 30 million won, the reception, dresses, suits, wedding photo albums, wedding gifts, and food.

The free wedding ceremony for multicultural families has been held annually by Seowon Valley Golf Club since 2013, based on recommendations from the Paju City Family and Women’s Department, as part of their noblesse oblige. It is completely free of charge. So far, 32 multicultural couples have been married. Seowon Valley Golf Club holds a joint wedding ceremony for multicultural families every year on the last Wednesday of June.
