Jeon Seung-il, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Enacts 3 Representative Ordinances

Jeon Seung-il, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, proposed a total of three ordinances at the 322nd 1st Regular Meeting.

According to Seo-gu Council on the 26th, the "Ordinance on Support for Deductibles of Automobile Insurance for Official Vehicles" mainly provides support for deductibles in traffic accidents occurring during public officials' official duties. It aims to encourage active public service by officials, ultimately benefiting the residents.

The "Ordinance on Fire Prevention and Safety Facility Support for Electric Vehicle Exclusive Parking Zones" includes contents proposed during the "5-minute free speech" on the 14th, such as ▲ installation and support of fire prevention safety facilities for electric vehicle charging stations ▲ promotion of response manuals in case of fire ▲ recommendation for above-ground installation of electric vehicle charging facilities for quick response in case of fire.

The "Ordinance on Support for Electric Fire Safety Facilities in Buildings Used by Safety-Vulnerable Groups" was enacted to protect the safety of residents by installing fire extinguishing equipment in buildings and performance halls used by safety-vulnerable groups such as the disabled and elderly, to prevent fire accidents and enable prompt initial response.

Councilor Jeon said, "This regular meeting will be remembered as the busiest session since 2024, with the 2023 fiscal year settlement review, the '5-minute free speech,' and the enactment of three ordinances," adding, "We enacted ordinances related to electric fire safety and to reduce the burden of accidents on public officials for the safety of residents."

He also stated, "Through active field-centered legislative activities and approaching residents more closely to reflect their on-site opinions in policy proposals, I will strive harder for the development of Seo-gu as well as the welfare and safety of the residents."
