National Mokpo University Jeonnam Regional Economic Education Center Successfully Completes Economic Education Program at Naju Bitgaram Middle School

Innovative Education for Students Becoming Economic Agents

The Jeonnam Regional Economic Education Center at National Mokpo University (President Song Hacheol) recently conducted an innovative economic education program for first-year students at Naju Bitgaram Middle School.


According to Mokpo University on the 26th, the visiting economic classroom held over two days on the 17th and 24th was conducted under the themes of "Entrepreneurship" and "Acquire 4th Industrial Revolution ICT Technology."


This program focused on enhancing understanding of keywords such as big data and AI, along with social changes in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

In particular, education using board games was provided to make it easier for students to understand, and the game called "4.0 Play" was conducted by integrating 18 types of ICT technologies, attracting students' interest.


Additionally, students had time to discuss and reflect on various future challenges such as job reduction due to automation machines, job replacement by robots, and occupations that may disappear in the future.


Through this, students were helped to develop proper decision-making and value judgment skills as economic agents.


Professor Ko Dugap, head of the Jeonnam Regional Economic Education Center at National Mokpo University, stated, "We plan to continue holding educational programs for nurturing future creative talents," adding, "Various educational programs for students preparing for the future will be continuously conducted."


These efforts are evaluated to provide students with opportunities to prepare and get ready for the future.
