On the 25th, YG Entertainment stated, "Producer Yang Hyun-suk and the members of 2NE1 have agreed to meet," but added, "However, there is no other information we can confirm at this time," withholding further details.

Earlier last month, news also surfaced that Producer Yang and 2NE1 leader CL had met. At that time, YG said, "This is not an official company meeting, and it is difficult to confirm," without providing any additional comments.

Industry insiders are speculating that this meeting could lead to 2NE1 undertaking a 15th anniversary project under YG.

Recently, the members of 2NE1 posted group photos on their individual social media accounts, raising fans' expectations for a team reunion to celebrate their 15th anniversary. 2NE1 debuted in 2009 with the digital single "Lollipop," a collaboration with the group Big Bang. Since then, they have become one of K-pop's representative girl groups with hit songs such as "Fire," "I Don't Care," "Can't Nobody," and "I Am the Best."

In 2016, Gong Min-ji ended her exclusive contract with YG and left the team. In 2017, the remaining three members, excluding Gong Min-ji, released the digital single "Goodbye," marking the end of the group's activities. After all members changed agencies, the four members have occasionally shared updates together.

In April 2022, six years after their disbandment, they made headlines as the first K-pop girl group to perform on the main stage of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
