Jeonbuk Bank Launches 'Geumbit Smashing Special Savings' Product

Wishing Success for Badminton Player Gong Hee-yong at the Paris Olympics

Jeonbuk Bank (President Baek Jong-il) is launching the "Golden Smashing Special Savings" to support the success of the Jeonbuk Bank badminton team participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to Jeonbuk Bank on the 24th, this special savings product offers preferential interest rates based on the performance of Gong Hee-yong, a member of the Jeonbuk Bank badminton team competing in this year's Paris Olympics.

This is a fixed installment savings product with a one-year term. Only one account can be opened per person. Customers can subscribe at branches or through non-face-to-face channels with monthly deposits ranging from 50,000 KRW to 500,000 KRW. The interest rate is up to 4.5% per annum, consisting of a basic rate of 3.0%, plus up to 0.5% preferential interest depending on Gong Hee-yong's Olympic performance, and up to 1.0% preferential interest for JB Group Account holders.

If Gong Hee-yong wins a gold or silver medal, a 0.5%p preferential interest rate is provided; for a bronze medal, 0.3%p; and for reaching the quarterfinals, 0.2%. The JB Group Account preferential rates are based on the number of members in the JB Group Account as of two months before the maturity date of this savings product: 1.0% for 30 or more members, 0.5% for 10 or more, 0.3% for 5 or more, and 0.2% for 2 or more.
