Started in 2015 and now in its 10th edition, the Jakga Art Market is an art fair that directly connects artists and consumers, selling mid-priced artworks priced under 3 million KRW. Until last year, it has attracted a cumulative total of 1.3 million visitors and involved over 11,000 artists, establishing itself as a gateway for emerging artists. In particular, the Jakga Art Market has provided opportunities for everyone to enjoy and own art, and has created a 'new platform for art transactions' where artists active in local communities can directly trade with consumers.

This year, the Jakga Art Market began on the 5th at the Jochiwon Cultural Garden in Sejong City as the 'ONE PICK MARKET.' Following that, from the 14th for five days, the Sokcho Art Fair was held at Chilseong Shipyard in Sokcho, Gangwon Province, and at the I-eum Gallery in Seoul, the art fair specialized in drawing, 'Drawing-Growing,' is ongoing until the 30th of this month.

In July, 'AsiaF' will be held at the former National Theater Baek Seong-hee Jang Min-ho Theater in Seogye-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul; in August, at Hyundai Department Store Pangyo Branch; and in September, following two locations in Seoul, the 'Gotaek Art Festa' will take place at Hyanggyo in Muju, Jeonbuk.

An official from the Arts Management Support Center said, "Marking the 10th anniversary, the Jakga Art Market has provided artists with opportunities to meet consumers directly, and consumers with an 'introductory role in purchasing artworks' by offering works of emerging artists at reasonable prices." They added, "We will continue to build a solid demand base for the steadily growing art market and take the lead in revitalizing the art market through advanced support."
