The late Yasong Lee Wonjwa, a native of Cheongsong, was a leading Korean painter who left behind many works, including the large-scale landscape painting "Cheongnyangdaewoon-do" (46×6.7m), and made significant efforts for the development of Korean culture and arts.

In 2005, when the County Cheongsong Yasong Art Museum opened in his hometown of Cheongsong, he served as its inaugural director and devoted himself to the development of local art, becoming a representative cultural and artistic figure of Cheongsong.

This exhibition will feature works such as "Yonggungsa Jado" and "Seongsan Art Hall Song," which depict the beautiful landscapes of Korea that Yasong Lee Wonjwa observed while traveling across the country, as well as small pieces featuring pine trees and suiseki.

These works were part of Yasong Lee Wonjwa's personal collection during his lifetime, and the exhibition has been jointly planned by Cheongsong County and his bereaved family. Through these exhibited works, local residents and museum visitors will have another opportunity to be deeply moved by the breadth of Yasong Lee Wonjwa's artistic world.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee said, "The artistic spirit of Yasong Lee Wonjwa, who represents not only our region but also Korean culture and arts, can be fully felt through works beyond large-scale pieces like 'Cheongnyangdaewoon-do.' I hope that this exhibition will continue to foster the emergence of outstanding new cultural and artistic talents who will contribute to the development of culture and arts in our region and throughout the country."
