Korea University Ranks First Among Private Universities in Regular Admission Results for 3 Consecutive Years

Korea University announced on the 19th that it has ranked first among private universities in the regular admission process for three consecutive years.

According to the analysis of the regular admission cutoff scores for the 2022-2024 academic years released by the university admission information portal ‘Daehak Eodiga,’ Korea University was ranked first among private universities for three consecutive years.

Analyzing the publicly disclosed data from ‘Daehak Eodiga,’ for the 2024 academic year based on the 'Regular Admission 70% Cut (general admission, average percentile of Korean, Math, Social Studies, Science, average by recruitment unit, final enrolled students),' the humanities field showed Seoul National University at 96.6, Korea University at 94.2, and Yonsei University at 91.3. For the natural sciences field (excluding medical and pharmaceutical fields), Seoul National University was 96.2, Korea University 95.0, and Yonsei University 93.8. In the medical field, Korea University, Seoul National University, and Yonsei University all showed the same percentile of 99.0.

The admission results for the 2022 and 2023 academic years were similar. The 2022 regular admission cutoff scores for both humanities and natural sciences (excluding medical and pharmaceutical fields) ranked Seoul National University, Korea University, and Yonsei University in that order. Notably, in 2023, Korea University showed the highest cutoff score among domestic universities in the natural sciences field (excluding medical and pharmaceutical fields) with 94.9.
