"Up to 55% Payback"... Shinsegae Department Store's 'Card Festival' Underway

Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 20th that it will hold the "Shinsegae Card Festival" to celebrate the 55th anniversary of its partnership cards.

Shinsegae Department Store introduced Shinsegae Card, Korea's first credit card, in 1969. Now, 55 years later, it has partnerships with the largest number of five card companies in the industry, offering various benefits such as 5% discount coupons, free parking tickets, and point accumulation. In particular, after surpassing 1 million Shinsegae Card holders in 2007, the cumulative number of customers exceeded 9 million this year, 17 years later.

This event will be held for ten days from the 21st to the 30th in collaboration with five partner card companies (Citi, Samsung, Shinhan, Hana, and BC Baro). First, through a lottery on the Shinsegae Department Store application (app), customers will receive participation tickets for discounts ranging from 10% up to 55%. For example, customers who receive a 55% discount participation ticket can get Shinbaek Rewards worth 165,000 KRW, 330,000 KRW, or 550,000 KRW back when purchasing 300,000 KRW, 600,000 KRW, or 1,000,000 KRW respectively with the partner card.

Additionally, during the weekends of the event period (21st?23rd, 28th?30th), customers who purchase a total of 2,000,000 KRW, 3,000,000 KRW, 5,000,000 KRW, or 10,000,000 KRW or more at luxury, fashion, and miscellaneous goods brands using partner cards will receive Shinbaek Rewards of 140,000R, 210,000R, 350,000R, or 700,000R respectively. Furthermore, during the event period, anyone can download and use the Happy Birthday Coupon Pack and 2,000 Shinbaek Rewards points from the Shinsegae Department Store app, which can be used across various categories such as food, fashion & miscellaneous goods, and electronics & furniture.

The partner card companies will also offer billing discounts and interest-free installment benefits. Samsung, Shinhan, Hana, and BC Baro cards will provide a 10,000 KRW cashback once per single brand purchase of 200,000 KRW or more from the 21st to the 23rd. Hana Card offers interest-free installments for up to 24 months, BC Baro Card up to 12 months, and Samsung Card up to 5 months, depending on the purchase amount.

In addition, considering the recent increase in grocery prices, six types of fresh food will be sold at special prices.
