4% Insurance Discount When Installing Device
DB Insurance has launched a special policy for personal auto insurance that includes the advanced safety device 'Around View Monitor.' When this advanced safety device is installed in a vehicle, it helps prevent accidents and also provides a discount on insurance premiums, offering a "two birds with one stone" effect.
According to DB Insurance on the 20th, this special policy offers a 4% discount on premiums if the vehicle is equipped with an Around View Monitor (AVM) or Surround View Monitor (SVM) device.
The Around View Monitor is a device equipped with cameras installed on the front, rear, left, and right sides of the vehicle, providing the driver with a 360-degree view of the surroundings on the in-car monitor as if looking from above. It assists driving by reducing the risk of accidents when parking or passing through narrow roads. It is considered an advanced safety device along with the lane departure warning system and forward collision warning system.
Customers who have previously received premium discounts for having lane departure warning systems or forward collision warning systems installed can receive an additional 4% discount if their vehicle is equipped with an Around View Monitor.
A DB Insurance official stated, "The accident prevention effect of advanced safety devices has been proven, so we developed this product targeting this customer group," adding, "We will continue to seek elements that are effective in preventing accidents so that customers can benefit."
