Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Conducts Safety Inspection for Flood and Wind Disaster Preparedness

Safety Inspection of Flood-Prone Areas in Ulsan National Industrial Complex on the 19th

The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced that on the 19th, it visited the Ulsan National Industrial Complex to conduct safety inspections of flood-prone areas and facilities in preparation for summer typhoons and floods.

On that day, Lee Sang-hoon, the president of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, visited the Maeamsageori area, one of the flood-prone zones within the Ulsan National Industrial Complex, to inspect risk factors such as drainage channels on site. He then urged active preventive measures to minimize damage to tenant companies caused by typhoons and floods, and emphasized thorough safety for tenant companies and workers by utilizing an emergency response system in case of disaster situations.

He also visited the Ulsan Steam Highway, one of the owned facilities, to inspect piping equipment and discuss safety accident response plans to prepare for steam leaks. The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation will conduct special safety inspections at least twice a week by region across 67 industrial complexes nationwide under the supervision of regional headquarters until August 30th in preparation for summer.

President Lee said, “Through this safety inspection, we will prepare to prevent any damage to tenant companies caused by summer typhoons and floods, and will continue to minimize safety blind spots within industrial complexes to strengthen safety management for workers and workplaces.”
