Expected Around 33 Degrees Celsius Inland in the Gyeongsang Region
On Monday the 17th, temperatures will rise above 30 degrees Celsius mainly in inland areas nationwide, with many places in the Gyeongsang inland region reaching around 33 degrees, making it hot. Under the influence of high pressure over the southern West Sea, the weather will be mostly clear nationwide, with clouds mainly over Jeju Island.

The lowest temperatures nationwide on the 17th are expected to range from 14 to 21 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperatures from 26 to 33 degrees Celsius. Most regions across the country may experience daytime highs above 30 degrees Celsius.
Expected minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities are Seoul 19°C and 30°C, Incheon 19°C and 26°C, Daejeon 17°C and 31°C, Gwangju 19°C and 32°C, Daegu 19°C and 31°C, Ulsan 19°C and 29°C, and Busan 21°C and 28°C.
In some parts of Jeonnam and the Gyeongsang inland areas, not only temperatures but also the highest perceived temperature will rise above 31 degrees Celsius, making it very hot. Outdoor activities and outings should be avoided, and special attention should be paid to food management to prevent food poisoning.
Especially infants, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses should take care of their health. Outdoor workplaces need to prepare cool water and rest areas.
On the morning of the 17th, dense fog with visibility below 200 meters is expected along the southern West Coast of Gyeonggi, the West Coast of Chungnam, and the West Coast of Jeolla. Other areas may also experience fog with visibility below 1 kilometer, so caution is required for traffic safety.
Due to the dense fog, there is a possibility of disruptions to flight operations at airports.
In the Yeongdong region of Gangwon, winds may reach instantaneous speeds of 55 km/h (15 m/s) or more, and in mountainous areas, winds may exceed 70 km/h (20 m/s), so facility management and safety accident prevention should be carefully observed.
From the afternoon of the 17th to the morning of the 18th, very strong winds of 35 to 60 km/h (10 to 16 m/s) and very high waves of 1.5 to 3.5 meters are expected in the outer seas south of Jeju Island and the outer seas east of the South Sea, so navigation and fishing vessels should exercise caution.
